It's Birthday Time.....

Week actually! Big Happy 2nd Birthday to cousin Gabe!
Parker, Will and Gabe are second cousins...since they share the same great grandparents. Anyway, Leah and Dan and Gabe are on a big adventure this summer, having just arrived in Oxford, England last week. From what I've heard, Gabe has already been kicked out of two pubs...but may try a fake mustache next time;) No two year old I know can say that! Love to you big boy-

Age Is Only A Number

Happy Birthday to Dee! We love you!
Conversation bit last night about Dee's day....
Parker: "How old is Dee gonna be?"
Me: "54"
Parker: "Gosh, that's old"
after a few minutes.....
Parker: "Mom, how old are YOU?"
Me: "31"
Parker: "Gosh, that's old too. But not as old as Dee. That's 'cause she's your mom, huh.

"Old age is fifteen years older than I am." Oliver Wendell Holmes

"Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young." -Benjamim Franklin

"The aging process has you firmly in its grasp if you never get the urge to throw a snowball."
Doug Larson

"Just remember, once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed." Charles Schultz

Super Will

Aunt Allie's comment to the recent Track and Field post reminded me of these pics I took of Will a week ago or so.

allie said... "wHOA! Super fast and super long jumps, there p-boo! Stick with the long t-shirt, too....next thing you know they'll stick you with super short shorts and super tight tank top! :)"

Aunt Allie,

Do these SUPER short shorts and tight tank count?

A few of Will's SUPER moves a/k/a "SUPER TRICKS"...

Parker's First Track and Field Day

Today Parker (since he will be starting Kindergarten in August!) participated in his first day of "Superior Track and Field Camp". He has been so excited and looking forward to it! The camp is held on the (GORGEOUS) track of Fairview High School in Boulder. Despite the awe inspiring view of the foothills...Parker was a bit disappointed as he was "expecting it to be in a stadium or something". Parker had a few jitters on some of the events...but his favorite was the javelin throw (sorry! no pictures...mom was chasing Will off the track and up and down the bleachers;)

See for yourself....there is much to look forward to every Tues. and Thurs. evening for the next 6 weeks....

Kid's Concert at Chautauqua Park

The concert started off with a small hike as Parker put it, "through the jungle". You can tell in the picture it started to rain a bit and Will kept telling everyone, "I not made in sugar".
After the hike, we headed back to grab our picnic blanket and food for the concert and we ran into Chautauqua's animal of the week...a Mule Deer. Worth noting, unfortunately no pictures....:(

Will and Parker got into dancing with the other kiddies. Will's favorite song was "Wild Thing". Parker said, "the music is good, but did we bring any desserts?"

Please note in the below picture....(remind you, this is Boulder afterall!) a tiny 2 year old streaker. Who Parker nonchalantly pointed out, "she looks a lot like cousin Josie."
