Fall Flag Football Madness

Go Parker!
Fumble-TD Return

Huddle up.

Go Mustangs!
Parker absolutely loves playing flag football. At first, I wasn't sure which he was more into....the football or his new custom fit mouthguard.  Turns out, he really likes the game and has so much fun playing.  Chris and I catch ourselves laughing out loud at Parker's...."confidence".....  At 7 years old we call it confidence....here in a couple years...think it'll be called arrogance.  But he really thinks he's pretty awesome.  And so do we!

Mt Sanitas Hike

Last weekend we took a huge (huger than I meant to) hike up Mt. Sanitas in Boulder.  Boulder Valley Recreation site rated it "moderate."  I don't know whether it was the intense mid 90's August sunshine, tired little 5 year old legs, or a pregnant mama trying to keep up that made it seem much more like the "moderately difficult" rating it should have received.  Anyway, we made it and it was awesome!  Parker and Will did amazing!  And the views...well, see for yourself......

I love Yu

After Will came home from school that first day, he wanted to sit right down and write a note. I anticipated a picture about his teacher, a new friend, snack-- something from school. But this is what he wrote.....

Parker in 2nd...Will in Kindergarten oh my!

Hope no one has been holding their breath waiting for a new post from me. I forgot to check the last date.....but I acknowledge it has been a while! Instead of dwelling on that, wanted to show you Parker and Will on their first day of school this year (2010:)....

Chris went in late to work so he could keep his tradition of walking the boys to school on their first day.

And here is Will in Ms. Buch's classroom (same teacher Parker had for Kgarten)...

Soccer pics

This is Will's team, "The Skinless Oranges". His face in the team shot describes his first day of soccer perfectly....hesitant, unsure and not involved. The first game he wanted to sit on the sidelines the whole game (thus there is no "action" shot from that day). I tried my best to be patient.

This is Parker's team, "The Vipers". I just have to say that it's amazing what 2 years can do. The 1st graders have a whole different approach to the game and Parker is very enthusiastic and excited to play and be a part of it all. He says his favorite part is either when a teamate kicks the ball to him or eating orange slices at halftime.

Parker and Dad Go Backpacking

I promised a soccer post...but my computer is having fits and won't allow me to download my current pictures. I decided to do a much needed post and include some pictures from Chris and Parker's backpacking trip in August. They had a great time together and Parker learned how to make fire, set booby traps and filter water.

One Year Later.....

Happy Birthday to Parker and Will! This year we celebrated with a joint "shark party" at the pool. Here are some pictures of the 6 and 4 year olds!!
